Buyer Protection
Your payment is held safely until the order is confirmed — here's exactly how it works.
How escrow protects you
Shop verified sellers
Every seller on Dhamana is checked by a real person before they can list — look for the verified badge on any shop or listing.
Pay into escrow
When you pay, the money moves into a protected Dhamana escrow wallet immediately — never straight into the seller's account.
Seller fulfils your order
The seller has 7 days from payment to mark your order as fulfilled and share delivery details.
Confirm delivery
Once the item is in your hands and matches what you paid for, confirm delivery from your order page. Only then is the seller paid out.
You're automatically protected
If the seller never fulfils your order, you're refunded automatically. If you don't confirm after the seller marks it fulfilled, funds release to the seller automatically after 7 days — you'll get a notification at every step, so check your order page if anything looks wrong.
If something's wrong with your order
Message the seller directly from your order page — this is the fastest way to resolve a problem with an item or a delivery. While the order is open, your payment stays frozen in escrow; it is never released to the seller until you confirm delivery or the automatic 7-day window passes.
Our team can review the full payment and delivery timeline on any order that needs a closer look.
View your ordersVerified sellers
Every shop on Dhamana is checked by a real person — never an algorithm — before it can go live. Sellers submit a photo of their home or workspace, a government ID and bank payout details to earn their first verification tier; adding a CAC business registration and a storefront photo earns the next tier. A shop only ever shows the Verified Seller badge after our team has approved it by hand.
